We are a small family farm in Sandy, Oregon and we intend to stay small in order to ensure that there is enough space and love and belly rubs for each pig.   Although we invest in quality breeding stock, our priority is to raise our pigs in a humane manner.  Their pens are large and bedded heavily with straw and they have an outdoor area in which to exercise and play in the dirt.  They are fed high quality grain supplemented with fresh fruits and vegetable when available.
We do NOT give growth hormones or steroids.
We do not  feed blood meal.

Our gilts and sows are bred approximately twice per year using artificial insemination.  Litters are born in farrowing pens with heated floors and heat lamps.

We baby our babies.

A secondary focus is on Heritage breeds of pigs.
Although the matriarch of Sugar Maple Swine is Momma Pig, a Yorkshire, Hampshire, Duroc crossbred, we are now focusing on beautiful Hereford Hogs.
